Intalling Custom Content into The Sims 2
|
-
Click on the "DOWNLOAD" button. If no button is visible then either you are not
logged in or your browser is not compatible with .Net Cookieless Session State
management. CLICK HERE to
test your browser for compatibility.
-
You should be asked if you'd like to save or open your file. Save it to a
location on your computer that you will remember like the "My Documents" folder
or on your "Desktop." We recommend that you make a special folder on your
computer to keep all of the .zip files you download from S2L.
-
Find the .zip file you've downloaded and decompress the package file(s) to:
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
The first time you download, you may not have a "Downloads" folder in your The
Sims 2 directory. You may create it by running the TS2 Bodyshop. The Bodyshop
created this directory. This will insure that the directory is created in the
correct location. Decompressing .zip files is a built in function of most
current versions of Windows and can be accessed by right-clicking on the
.zip file and selecting "Extract All..." If you don't have this built in you
may need to use a free decompression tool like
WinZip. All or our downloads also contain info files. Doubleclicking
one of these files will load information in your browser concerning that
particular download.
-
Make sure your game options are set to accept custom content.
-
Run your game.
